Angry Mastercook Low Carb - NOT

Well, just received my Mastercook Low Carb Edition.

What a joke, don't waste your money. I can't find anything low carb about it.
Here is a sample recipe:

Toffee:
1 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup Sue Bee Honey
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Low Carb??????

How about this one:

Blueberry Orange Sauce:
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt, optional
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup orange sections (about 2 oranges)

Cornstarch, sugar, ?????

Apple Fritters:

6 eggs, separated
1 pint milk
1 pound flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 ounces sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
24 ounces apples, peeled, cored, medium dice
powdered sugar, as needed

A pound of flour, sugar... Holy crap, at least use splenda. You want to know why it is low carb? They make 100 of them, one per serving equals 5 carbs. ROFL

Some of the recipes are sources from www.honey.com. LOL

There is no cookbook for breads, but here is a nice breakfast recipe:

Nut Loaf
1/4 cup warm water (105º to 115ºF)
1 package Fleischmann's® Active Dry Yeast
3/4 cup warm milk (105º to 115ºF)
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour (3 to 3 1/2 cups)
2 egg whites
3/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Flour, sugar...

Don't waste you money, this is a pure ripoff. I found one recipe in my travels that used Splenda, but it had cornstarch in it!

GRRRRRr.....
