Question weight dropping but inches are not!

I was just wondering why I would be losing pounds but my measurements are staying the same? This makes no sense to me. Where does it go? Any insight would be welcomed

Supposedly the fat cells are losing substance but retaining water. Then you get a whoosh!

Look forward to it.

Yes. Keep on with the plan, avoid very salty foods and you'll soon notice a difference. You're only on your second month.

I agree that your fat cells are holding water. It will be released when your body decides it's not going to get any fat to replace it with, then you'll see some inches lost too.

I experience has been some months I lose a lot of pounds and only a few inches then the following month I'll lose a lot of inches and only a few pounds. Another odd thing is that for the last 3 months I haven't lost a single inch from the waist down. 15 pounds and abou 6 inches from the waist up!

Every body is different, as long as your losing on the scale, you're body will catch up!

You can be losing inches in the places you are not measuring-a kind of all over meltdown.
I lost a shoe size and my feet were not swollen pre lowcarb.
Keep up the good work you are doing -it will all come to you in good time.

I to have lost a ton of weight, 20lbs almost. I was trying to figre out where it came off of because my waist was the same and my rear to. Well my ring is loser but I looked at myself in the mirror the other day and noticed something. I HAVE ONE CHIN!!!!!! Now that is cool I think I must have had a 15lb second chin! I am thrilled. I dont care where the rest goes...it can just go be with that ol ugerly chin! lol

LOL! Fantabulous! Our chins must have taken a hike together cause mine is gone too! I was losing a lot of inches in the waist, hips and bust at first. Now it seems to be coming off the neck and back, thighs and butt since I started exercising several weeks ago.

One really good site to go to to help with measuring and stuff.. it keeps track and lets you compare to past measurements.. pretty much full body measuring... http://www.mybodycomp.com

It's been a great help over the past couple months and it tells you your body fat % and all that. And gives you graphs and stuff. Check it out!

There are things you can't really measure, like face fat. My face always loses fat first.

I should invent a body scanner device where you stand on some foot prints and it takes a picture of you. You come back a month later and do the same, then it superimposes your last picture on top of the first.

Thanks everyone! The lack of inch loss was baffling me. As for the extra chin, I could stand to lose mine. My breasts are what's going first, and I don't have alot to spare... Where's the boob fairy when you need her.lol

My second chin was the first to go, too! As for everywhere else, it is not consistent at all.....8 inches gone in the bust but 14 on the hips - go figure!

I could stand to lose the boob thing. I think the fairy visited me a million times over. One of my goals is to get my body fat below 30% so I can have a reduction done hope to go from a 42F to a dcup...maybe I can get down to a 36D that would be normal enough for me! Now heres a question. Can you lose in the breast area? is that even possible. Not the bust but the boob itself? Pardon my crude talk (giggles I live with a sailor!)
