The LC author Dana Carpender says they "might, kinda" work, but only in extremely high dosages which your digestive system cannot handle without having a serious toiletbowl blowout.

That's another thing I was going to say, they are a waste of money and the side effects you will get will not be worth the extremely minor lowering in the amount of sugar your body absorbs (even if it DOES as it says on the bottle). Which it probably doesn't. Even Dana says she doesn't recommend them.

If I wanted to give myself gas and diareah I would just have soem sugar alcohols instead. It would taste btter too :P
