Default LC Flu Food? Help!

Hey all,

So, my girlfriend has had a terrible flu for the entire week, fever of 102, throwing up....all sorts of nastiness, and she is on like the 6th day of it. I am coming down with it, I am coughing and wheezing, light headed, slightly feverish, etc. Normallly when I am sick I have grilled cheese and sherbert, but I have JUST made a new commitment to this and gotten back on the wagon.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good LC flu foods?

Thanks!!!

Buy a whole chicken, they are really cheap. Take and throw it in a stock pot and boil over night. The next day remove the bones and you have a great base for soup. Put some in a smaller pan with LC veggies such as celery and turnips. You can also get another pan going with ginger spinach soup.

A crock pot is another great soup partner. Just make the soup and leave it turned onlow. This way you have a nice warm meal waiting with 0 prep time or thought. Just grab a bowl full.

Poor baby.....
Buy some chicken stock in a can -or beef stock , add an egg to the chicken stock for something like chinese eggflower soup.
You can add cream & mushrooms to the beef stock & parmesan cheese.
Mock mac/cheese tofu chopped up with cheese-should be baked but will work in microwave.
Softboiled eggs
Strawberries & cream or creamcheese.

Thanks guys... the quicker and easier the better. As the day progresses, I feel worse, so I doubt it will be long before I am bed-bound for a few days. I'll grab some stock and veggies on the way home tonight and make a BIG vat of soup to get me through the next few days.

Thanks!!!!!!!!

I take a can of chicken broth and add a beaten egg once that's cooked I add a can of drained chicken and black pepper. It's does the trick for me.
I hope you feel better soon.

Don't know if they are in stores yet, but saw where Carb Options were going to have 2 new soups. Chicken noodle, and cream of chicken. (i think)

Thanks for the ideas... I got two big cans of chicken stock, some celery and green onion, cooked chicken and eggs and made myself a soup....enough to last a few days. Thanks again for the ideas!!
