Default Question About Induction

Hi, everyone...

I'm on my 4th day of the Atkins Induction program; and to be honest, I haven't been exercising.. so, I'm afraid my progress will be slowed... I was wondering if if it ok to surpass the 2 week limit for induction that Dr. Atkins said in his book... and if so, how long is too long???

I honestly don't really even like many carbs; so, it's not a big deal for me to keep the carb count low in my daily life.

If anyone has done this, please let me know. I'm eager to find out if it helps.. or if I just need to add the extra carbs and lower the fat after the first two weeks... HELP, PLEASE!!!!!

Personally I stayed at the 20 carb limit the whole time. The only thing I did different was allow more food into the program, such as berries and nuts.

If I'm remembering correctly, DANDR indicated you could safely stay on induction for 6 months to a year.

I've been staying the same as MaryToU - 20 to 25 carbs since I began.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Now, I Feel MUCH better about continuing my induction process. I honestly think that the extreme low carb is the way to go for me.

Take care, and stop by often......

Whatever you do, don't lower the fat!!! I tried it, and I stalled!! Stay lo-carb, (but at least 20g), but high fat!! Drink tons of water, and you will loose like crazy!! I didn't exercise for about 3 months when I started!! Just a tid bit of info, when I go below 20g of carbs, I get head aches, and feel sick to my stomach.
