Hi Galladriel,
I go to aerobics class MW and do weight training and yoga back to back on TTH. In addition to that, I also walk 45-60 mins at least once per week. I'm starting up again with hiking this weekend and that will be consistent until it gets too cold and rainy in early November.
The aerobics class is 75 min long but we do only 25-30 mins of actual aerobics and another 25 mins or so toning exercise with light weights as well as warm up and cool down. Yoga and weight training is around 60 mins each. I'm doing more of a circuit training instead of regular weight training because I noticed that I had a really hard time finishing even the 2nd set. I still do 3 sets of all exercises but I spread it around so that I can lift more weight than doing w3 sets back to back. Hiking will be anywhere from 1 1/2 hrs to about 6 hrs.
I have enough energy for aerobics regardless of what I eat, if anything at all, but when it comes to weight training and hiking, I have a hard time making it more than about 20 mins and then I end up drinking Gatorade to give me a boost of energy. I take Atkings vitamins.
I need something to keep me not only energized during work outs, but also after. My day is pretty much shot after weight lifting and hiking and I end up falling asleep on the couch. I don't get energy boost from exercise.
Thx,
Andrea
