Splenda is a sugar substitute. It's different than others because it is actually extracted from real sugar. The company has also made the crystals much larger than they would have to be to make it measure cup to cup with real sugar.

It's expensive if you compare weight/$ but comparing cup to cup it's actually not too bad. I buy the big bag here in the US at Target.

Hi mfield

Splenda is widely available in the UK.... certainly in my local Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys.

You find it beside the sugar and other sweetners. In the UK it comes in either granular form (looks like sugar, comes in a big jar) or tablet form which are meant for dropping in coffee or tea, but I sometimes grind up with a mortar and pestle as the tablets don't have any (or at least as much) filler, so are even lower carb.

If you pop over to http://splenda.co.uk/site/about_splenda/line_up.html you can see pictures of the products so you know what to look out for in the sugar aisle.... the yellow packaging is quite distinctive

Have you popped over to the UK forum yet? It's here

Hi mfield,

We buy Splenda all the time from Tesco, I sure as said it's available in all the major supermarkets. Look for the big glass jar, it's gets used for many recipe's.
