Default Rubio's Lowcarb offering

Just gotta give a big thumbs up to Rubio's for their new carne asada "tacos" for low carbers. They give you a very generous serving of meat (either chicken or steak), some guacamole, some tomato salsa thing, cheese and lots of large, sturdy lettuce leaves. Basically, you load up the lettuce leaf with the stuff and chow down! They have a fantastic salsa bar too.

It was pricey at 5.99 but I should have made two meals out of it instead of one because I was uncomfortably full afterwards.

I think I had 4 good sized "lettuce tacos" out of it, might have been 5.

Hmmm... not sure. There wasn't a thing on the plate that would ordinarily be associated as having lots of carbs. But I didn't ask for their nutrition info.

The two things that would be the most questionable would be the guacamole and the salsas. But guacamole generally isn't high carb and the red salsa would have tomatoes, so a little carbs. Doubt there's much in hot peppers, cilantro and other salsa ingredients. Salsa isn't sweetened. Green salsa might be lowish in carbs, I'm not sure what tomatillo's have in them carb wise.

If I were to guess, I'd think if you cleaned your plate you'd be coming in under 10-15 carbs after subtracting out the fiber.
