What gum is "sugarfree"?

Hi there,

Been suffering Ketosis breath in a bad way the last couple days..so I pulled out some gum...notice that Wrigleys Excel says SugerFree on it and have been to the web site...it has 3 carbs per stick but its from Suger Alchols...

I have some Trident stuff here and it say Xlitol on it (is that sugar alchol?) and it is approved by the Canadian Dental Association...I wouldn't think dentists would recommend a sugary gum, but the trident's website is down so I can't access the nutritional information...

Anyone know of any good Low-Carb chewing Gum?

Xylitol is a Sugar Alcohol...In fact, pretty much anything ending in -itol (Maltitol, Mannitol, Sorbitol, Xylitol, Erythritol, etc...) is a Sugar Alcohol. I'd stick with the Cinnamon flavor, though...because all their other flavors contain ASPARTAME. The Cinnamon was made with Saccharine up until a few months ago. Now, it's made with Splenda.

I dont chew gum often but the gum pack I picked up back in november (last time I chewed gum) was called xylichew

its made with 1g of xylitol per piece and tasted great. Its also supposedly good for your teeth.

The atkins website reccomends certain types of gum and breath mints and if I remember correctly those were made with xylitol too, but I am not sure of the brand.
