Cool new britches

Hi all...

I just thought that I'd share...

I've lost 16 pounds so far...still many to go. But, my jeans have been getting really loose. I have to keep hitching them up while I'm walking around the classroom.

So, today, while I was at Wal-Mart, I decided to buy a couple of pairs of slacks (stretchy material) to get me by at work. I took a chance and bought size 22/24 instead of 26/28. When I tried them on at home, they actually fit pretty well. They're a little snugger than I'm used to (I'm a baggy pants person), but not overly tight.

It's been soooo long since I've needed a smaller size, that I couldn't really believe that they fit. I had to ask my husband if they were too tight. He said that he loved the way my butt was looking...he's such a great guy.

Instead of wearing my same old black jeans tomorrow, I'll be wearing my new navy slacks. How cool is that?!?

Oh, one more thing...I discovered last week that I do have a ribcage. It's been quite a while since it's been seen or felt on this body.

My birthday is coming soon, and I feel the best I've felt in years. Yeah, ME!!

Thanks for giving me a place to share.

Great big hugs to all...

Woohoo! WTG Lori! I think buying new clothes in smaller sizes is the most exciting thing about this WOL. And the smaller we get the more choices of stores we have.

And congrats on finding the rib cage. It's amazing to see the bones start showing up. Makes you wonder where they were all these years.

Excellent - WELL DONE! Great News! I hope you are proud!

I have these jeans and they were so tight i would squeeze myself into them - until i gave up altogether and didnt have the energy to even try.

burning a hole in my wardrobe for about 6 months i tried them on a few weeks ago and they are LOOSE!

I could pull them on and off without having to undo the zip!!!!

The joy of that moment i will never forget.

God Bless Atkins.

Way to go, Lori!! It's a strange sensation to look forward to shopping but it's another of those great perks of continuing on in this WOE.

Great going, Lori! And I can relate (really!) to the bones thing--I was sitting here reading the forum tonight and realized I was feeling something strange--my collarbone!
