Smile Another newbie:)

Hi everyone!I have been looking for low carb sites and it was sort of funny that today when I started my diet, Yahoo had posted a link with this one on it. My name is Sharon and my doctor recommended that I go on a low carb diet due to the fact that I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and can't seem to lose weight on regular conventional diets. The only 2 times that I have lost weight was in 1994 when I went on a 800 to 900 calorie version of the Richard Simmons diet. I ate practically no fat, so when I did incorporate some fats back in my diet, the weight came back. I also lost unbelievable amounts of weight during all 3 of my pregnancies and when I say unbelievable, 75 pounds fell off me during my first child, 72 the next time and 70 the third, only to return during breast feeding. My only problems with the diet really is that I am not an egg eater (really don't care for them at all) and don't know what I can eat that is "breakfast like" for my morning meal. I will be reading the posts here as I know I am not the only person in the world who is just not wild about eggs.
I got a little more excited about this as a guy I work with is on Atkins and is looking great and he seems to be having an easy time with it. I know it will be a lifestyle change and I think that I can handle it as I am so tired of having the spare tires, among all the other issues this syndrome I have cause. Looking forward to being an active member!
