Cool My Pot Belly - Need suggestions

Hello,

I am nearing my 50 pound loss and am feeling myself nearing the point where I want to return to the gym. Most of the fat I have lost is on my waistline. Right now I still have a large pot belly and flabby hips. Anyone have any insight around which exersizes I should do to get rid of this?

Hi,
I too have the same problem....Thanks to being overweight AND having had 4 kids!

I have had a lot of success toning with Pilates. It strengthens your core muscles (abs) and can be quite a work-out. I bought the Pilates for Dummies DVD on half.com and and ready to move into something more complex. I combine Pilates 3x a week with cardio 3-5 times and have really firmed-up.

Hope this helps!
Catherine

Good for you, now share what those 3 exercises are! My problem area has always been my abs.

I am doing basic crunches and then the raised leg crunches and then oblique crunches. Week one 2 sets of 15 reps for each and adding a set each week.

You need to do aerobic exercise. Run or something. It doesn't help to do abdominal exercises alone as this will only build the muscle under the fat. Look at this link: http://www.runnersworld.com/home/0,...te=RunnersWorld
