Unhappy Oh my goodness, I think I messed up big time!!!!!

I was on the road all day today. Had Atkins shake & water all day. For dinner ended up at local Chinese place. Asked that beaf & brocolli dish be prepared with no sugar, starch or flour. It came out with very little gravy & of course was delicious. I asked what they thickened the sauce with. "Clear Gel" I just looked it up on some site and read that it is a carbohydrate. Similiar to cornstarch. I don't know anything else about it. Can someone advise.

I was just starting to loose after a stall. So very dissappointed.

MayMay,

I have never heard of the stuff but if you just continue on your WOE you will probably be fine. One meal with a little bit of higher carb won't hurt you. Just eat the right stuff in the following days.
I wouldn't think of it as a Big time mess up!

Thanks Mary! I guess you're right. The only other carbs I had b4 that were the shake and bar, which were a total of 3. I'm drinking a lot of water hoping it will flush the stuff away. It may not be that bad, just get anxious when I don't know how many carbs are in something. May find out, it's a good thing. Will let you know if I find out. THanks again!!
