Thumbs up Going back to induction for a while

I just can't seem to get over this hump and break into the 150s so I decided to do strict induction for a week or 2 to try to jump start weight loss again. I'm getting myself psyched up for it even though I know I won't be suffering at all.

Has anybody else done this and how well did it work for you?

Thanks - Laurie

Hi Laurie,

I've basically stayed on induction since the start, however I did add a few of the approved "treats" (nuts, seeds, an Atkins Peanut Butter Cup or Two ). And whenever the weight lost stopped, I would drop all non-induction foods and in a 2-3 days I would start to see the scale move again.

So drop back to strict induction (with lots and lots of water) and give it a week, you should see the scale start moving a bit. However you don't have much to lose and so it will be slow, just stay on plan and it will work for you. Enjoy the ride, don't just focus on reaching the destination. Oh and ...

Congrats on your 22 lbs LOST!

Good luck,
Rick

Another idea may be to increase your carbs a bit, as opposed to cutting them back. Sometimes this is what the body needs to kick start itself. When I stop losing, I cut out all *fake* foods, up my water, and add a few carbs in the form of veggies or fats. Good luck!
