u.s/canada difference in carb listing

Just wondering if there is a difference in the way Canadians list carbs. I copied one of Karen's recipes which is listed as low carb. The nutrition guide at the end says over 100 gr--that doesn't seem like it could be low carb (my [American] frosted mini wheats--not low carb--only have 40 something per serving). Can someone help with this?
