Question so many msgs, so little time!

As a relatively new member, I'd love if some of you seasoned (but not salted) vets would hand on a few tips.

There are so many new messages each day... and many of you seem to get all over the board keeping up with them. How do you manage your account without spending ALL DAY in front of the screen? There are so many threads and topics and sub-topics, it's all a bit overwhelming. I've been reading more and more each day, but then I can't remember where I've been or posted!

I know each forum software has it's own quirks and gadgets... what do you do to keep track of things? Is there a method to this madness?

Hi Tina,

Yes, it can be a little overwhelming at first, but you'll soon get the hang of it.

If you click on at the bottom of each of your posts, you'll find a list of all the posts you've ever made.

To find the threads where people have replied to your posts, you can either click "use email notification by default" in your profile (go to at the top of the page, then click "options") or you can just go to at the top of the page, and you'll find there a list of all the threads you have subscribed to.

You are automatically subscribed to a thread when you post in it, or you can click on "Subscribe to this thread" at the bottom of a thread you find interesting and would like to follow.

You can find more help on using the forum by going to also at the top of the screen.

Cheers.

Rosebud

Thanks Rosebud, that's really helpful, especially that "search" thing!
