pork rinds crispas and a few fun things to try
I have been getting tired of just plain no flavor pork rinds but I did not want al the extra sodium of the barb flavor. So I have been playing around in my kitchen all morning today. I made the cinn crispas recipe and was suprised how good they were.
So I started making a few differant kinds. I used the same melted butter principle as with the crispas but in one batch I did garlic and onion. One batch I used my chili spice mix (I make my own and its very low salt) and cayanne pepper. The flavors were great!!!! I am dieing to try garlic, onion and fresh grined parm cheese but I am out of the kind I like and its 55 miles to the store that carrys it.
I hate that low carb snacks cost so much and that we have no control over the salt and sugar alcs.
I regularly do the same thing with my cream cheese. I love adding things to it in my processor. Garlic, onion, dried chives, chilles, chocolate, and many other sugar free extracts I used to make suckers for the kids with.
I am sure I am not the first to try this but wanted to pass along my findings.
