Angry Muscle Cramps!!!

I have been drinking my water, taking my vitamins and an extra dose of potassium! OUCH! I also have been running low grade fevers at night (99.5-99.8) weird, huh? Anyone else with strange stuff going on? My leg cramp from Tuesday STILL is sore today! Thanx for any info!

I was curious about muscle cramps as well. Two weeks ago my calf had a huge cramp, it tightened up so bad, it was pretty painful. Then I had another one just a day ago.

My wife said something about calcium carbonate or something like that, but I haven't researched it.

From what I knew before it could be 1 of a few things, water imbalance, electrolite imbalance, or low in potasium, or salt.

I know I'm getting plenty of water and potassium.

Any body have any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi there,

If you do a forum search on "leg cramps," you'll find that many of us suffered with these at first.
This post http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?p=234190 will help.

Thanks, Rosebud,

I was having leg cramps pre-Atkins andstarted potassium and magnesium at the same time. Didn't know which helped, so I could tell my friend. She's having hormonal leg cramps, menopause type.
