Default Time to change goal

Well thanks to Atkins I have lost 61 pounds in 3.5 months. I am now only 6 pounds away from my original goal. I would have never believed that I could lose so much weight in such a small amount of time.

At the start of this diet I weighed in at 257 pounds, well on my way to 300. My GF weighs in at a staggering 105 pounds. We were known as big and small by our friends. It is finally nice to weigh less then twice here.

Congrats on your weight loss! You have had much better results than the typical "losers" here. What's your new goal?

Parasite, it feels great.

I don't know what my new goal should be... does anyone have any ideas?

I am 5'11" so I was thinking around 175.

That is AWSOME!! My hubby has lost 68 lbs in 3 months, but he's not NEARLY as close to goal as you are. That is JUST terrific!! You're a dieting machine!! LOL.

Congrats!

"I don't know what my new goal should be"...

You should base your goal upon %body fat. The optimal range for males is 11 to 17%. I recommend the US Army procedure for calculating %body fat: http://usmilitary.about.com/gi/dyna...es/r600%5F9.pdf

I think 175 would be a good goal for someone your height, whern you get there you can see how you look and decide if you want to lose more or not
we've got similar stats I've lost 50 pounds in 3.5 months. kicks ass don't it?
congrats and keep it up

Congrats from me too! I am about at the same weight you were when you started. I'd love to know if it is just a WOE or if you are exercising as well.

I am so excited, I wish it were 3 months from now so I could see what I weigh!

I went from 257 to 222 before I started to excercise. For the last month and a half I have been going to the gym and being more active.

My gym routine is usually 30 min on an elliptical trainer (set on level 15 of 20). Then I usually do weights for about 15-20 min. I do this 4 times a week.

I also golf and play badminton quite often.
