Question Carbs in blueberries?

I had 10 blueberries today and haven't been able to figure out the carb count. I used the carb counter on this site but the amounts were way too high. Same with fitday. Any ideas?

I realize you've already eaten them so this won't work, but what I do is weigh everything. Then I just take the given values and divide by the quantity and mulitply by what I had.

For example, say you ate an ounce of blueberries.
100 grams (approx. 3.5 oz) of blueberries =
56 calories, 11.43 net carbs (carbs - fiber), .67 protein, .38 fat
For one ounce, you would then just divide the above values by 3.5.
So, one ounce = 16 calories, 3.3 net carbs, .19 protein, .11 fat.

You could also measure them and do the same thing, as there are values given for cups also. I just find it far more accurate (and easy) to weigh everything.

HTH

BTW: You could weigh/measure 10 blueberries and get a ballpark figure for what you've consumed.

I just measure out 1/4 cup, which equals about 5 carbs. I've been having some in a morning shake every other morning or so, trying to introduce them slowly. I figure I can be stricter on fruit carbs when everything is out of season

Please note the size difference in wild blueberries and culitivated blueberries. Sugar levels probably vary.

You can't account for everything. Sometimes trying to count every little thing makes you uptight. I've stopped counting for now. I'd say 10 blueberries (if you are eating fruit at this time in your plan) is totally acceptable.

For the past week I have been having about 1/4 cup of blueberries every couple of days with real whipping cream (whipped or just as cream). They are great! It is so nice to have some berries again. I had no fruit or berries for almost 4 weeks (well, ok, I cheated and had a few strawberries on the first day)...

Talking Strawberries/Blueberries save me!

I have been having 1/4 cup or even a little less of either strawberries or blueberries with real whipped cream for breakfast a few times a week, or if I have been especially good that day I will treat myself to some after dinner. I don't remember this ever tasting so good! I love it! My weightloss has stalled a little bit, so I am going to try and cut back on them to only 1 or 2 times a week.
