Question The best tasting Stevia?

I bought some Stevia several years ago, and it was pretty awful.
Any recomendations for some decent tasting brands?

Trying to get away from using too much Splenda, and I do not use Aspartame at all.

I use Sweet Leaf stevia clear liquid. I haven't tried any other brands but this one seems fine to me. I have only used it in my tea so I can't tell you about baking with it. I have noticed that in my tea, I get a sweet aftertaste when I take a sip, the sip itself isn't exactly sweet like with splenda.

One more thing, I thought stevia was supposed to taste vaguely of licorice, but the one I have doesn't. It has grapefruit seed extract, maybe that's why?

I've tried Now and Herbal Select brands, and both of them are fine to me. I don't notice much difference between the two.

I really like NOW Stevia Glycerite. I ordered it from Netrition. It's a liquid/syrup-like. Contains no alcohol and I don't find it at all bitter like some others I've tried.

The only thing I don't like about the glycerine-based stevia is how messy it is. It's very sticky.

I never noticed the licorice taste until other people mentioned it, and I eventually tasted some (accidentally!) right from the bottle. I don't notice it at all in my coffee or tea. Ditto with baking - I combine it with Splenda, and I've never noticed a bad taste.

Can you use it in baking, or do you need something as a bulking agent?

Same here.

If stevia tastes bitter, you are probably using too much.

You can bake with stevia, but need to modify recipes, like adding less liquid, to get the texture right if lack of bulk is a problem. Some people compromise with part stevia, part granular Splenda and a partial reduction of liquid.
