But the scales havent moved for 1 week and Ive been so good , I think Im retaining fluid. Can you give me some help. Im drinking plenty of water. Sue from Tasmania

Are you 100% sure you are retaing water due to being off the pills? What does your doctor say?

The reason I ask is that it is very common for things to slow down in between spurts of losing on the scale. One week could simply be your body resting. The scale will not move continuously downward on ANY weight loss plan.

Scales not moving doesn't mean you're retaining. You would gain weight if you are retaining water. You would feel bloated and puffy. Your stomach might stick out more and your jeans will be tight. You'd pee less and have dark colored urine. If you've been good then you probably lost all your water weight.
But if you are retaining water all you need to do is drink EXTRA water for a few days and keep your sodium intake low. Squeezing some lemon in a glass of water also acts like a dieuretic and will make you pee more.
