Default Dine out--Sauces?

Hey--
How do you guys deal with servers that say "Huh?!" when you ask if there is sugar in their sauces? Most say "I dunno...." We eat a lot of indian food(chicken cheera and lamb vindalu are our faves)and the menu just lists "spices" I have tried looking for these recipes on the internet to check out a typical prep--any advice besides eat it and pray--?
Kayte

Hi Kayte,

The best advice I can give you is to see what the Atkins site recommends. They have a great section on dining out here. They give specific suggestions for what's best to order when eating Indian for example.

HTH!
