Question hello everyone! New here need help w/ induction

I have a question. Tomorrow is the last day of my 2 week induction and I weighed early (today) I was so excited about the weight loss and I have only lost 1 pound this week and last week I lost 10. Some of that was a loss of TOM and water I know but I was expecting more than 1 pound. What is going on. I have followed induction to a tee this week and last week I even blew it without even realizing it.

Default You know

Don't worry about it. You lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks that is so awesome. If you are following the rules for induction I wouldn't go looking for problems. Some weeks I lost like crazy other weeks none or barely none. I think your body just gives up the weight in the way that works for your body.

Just keep eating good real foods and try not to worry because you have done great!!!!

You are pretty much right on the money. The rule of thumb that seems to apply to an amazingly large percentage of people is that you lose 10% of what you need to lose somewhere between the first two weeks and one month that I sometimes think that people should take how much they lose during induction, multiply it by ten, subtract that from their initial weight and at least consider if it would make a reasonable goal weight. Certainly it won't work for everyone and the key is for people to "consider" it, not accept it without question.

As for why you are seeing what you are seeing, go to the first page of my journal and you will find a link there that attempts to explain what is going on.

Keep the Faith!

I am in the exact same boat as you are. After one week I had lost 8lbs, and six days later, only 2 more. I am trying to think of it as a two week loss, 'cause I sure didn't expect to lose that fast. But boy did week one get my hopes up! Anyway, I am in it for the long haul. I feel so much better already, and losing a little at a time still gets me where I'm going. Good luck

Wink Induction 2nd week loss

I found these posts very helpful. I have lost six pounds in week one and will not be discouraged if this happens to me also.

I do want to be here for the long haul and in the overall scheme of things, a limited weight loss in any one week period is not that big a thing. Of course, we need to stay committed to staying on the eating plan we are following.

Thanks for the tip of 10 %. I think that is where I will probably fall.
