Default Results Of Blood Tests!

Got the results back today.

To quote the Dr: "you are very fortunate".
Everything looks good, including thyroid.

However, there was one more quote just before I left his office,
"you need to quit smoking!"

He is so right! Now I should check out the kick the nicotine thread. Losing weight AND stopping smoking, I admire people who can do that. Don't know if I'm strong enough

Glad to hear your lab work was showing good results. Your Doc's right though. You have taken this step toward getting healthier. I know it seems hard right now, but you can go that extra step. It is very similar to the detox process from carbs/sugar and you got through that!

There are plenty of people here to help you. I know Mischa is a reformed smoker and Alina is trying to quit now. You will have friends and a healthier body to boot!

I am in a similar position with smoking. I feel like a bit of a hypocrite losing this weight and still poisoning my lungs.

This is what I did.

I picked a weight, in my case 210 pounds, which I have just achieved, and at that weight I finished my last pack of cigarettes and bought that tobacco in the pouches with some filters and rollie papers.

They are a pain to make, and are frankly disgusting to smoke. I dont smoke anywhere near as much. Just like induction, no cheating, eg getting a smoke off a workmate. The theory is to make smoking as inconvenient as possible.

I have picked a new weight. When I get to 199 pounds, I will buy a pack of patches and give up smoking all together.

I am keen to quit, hopefully this will be the final time.
