Unhappy The flu and Induction

I am on the second week of induction and I have the flu! No chicken noodle soup Not sure if I should stay on induction or wait for the flu to pass. All I am craving right now is soup and ice cream. I have NO appetite for anything else. I have to force myself to eat! Advice?

If you are sick to your stomach, then carbs are going to help: chicken noodle soup, crackers, toast. Carbs DO have one very useful property: they help your body heal. (It's really true.)

So if you are sick, eat what you can manage to keep down and then redo Induction when you are better. Hope you feel well soon.

Try this: take 1 can of chicken broth, some diced chicken, and some chopped up green onions. Heat them all in a saucepan, and voila - the taste of chicken noodle soup without the noodles.

This was all I could eat last month when I was sick aside from a slice of LC toast.

Thumbs up Thank you tofi and atiaran!

Went to the doctors and found out that it wasn't the flu but a VERY bad sinus and ear infection. I decided to stay on Induction although I did have some crackers the other night because I couldn't stomach anything else. I only have one more day of induction and I really didn't want to start it all over again. Although I think that I will follow it for another week as far as the carb count goes.
