Sugar confusion.

I was reading the do's and don'ts on the atkins site and it says NO sugar of any kind. (Or something like that.)

But everyone says to buy ham and bacon and stuff. Ham has sugar. So does bacon. So can I eat them or not?

Everyone also says it's okay to eat ranch. Ranch has sugar. Does that mean I can't have ranch now?

The atkins site says to limit cured meats - that is the final word (IMO). Same for sugar. I only buy products without it. I bring my own salad dressings with me when I eat out, don't order iffy stuff out that I can't be sure about...

That's how I play this game.
