Default What if?

I am going out to dinner with a friend. This happens rarely( we do this once a month) since we both have kids and usually don't have the time or money. So this will be a treat. I hope that my willpower will hold out and I won't allow myself to indulge in any carbs tonight. I don't trust myself yet so if I do eat carbs what does that do to my metabolism. I am only on day 6 of induction and I know that with each day I should be craving carbs less and less. So if I eat them tonight does that mean it will be like starting induction all over again- with the same sugar carb cravings and early induction side effects??

I gotta tell you, induction is the most crucial time not to cheat, even a little bit. And why cheat when you can eat GREAT when going out? I usually get a huge dinner salad or a steak and veggies. Don't be afraid to ask for extra veggies instead of the starch. You can do it, don't give up now! Soon you will get over even wanting them nasty carbs, I promise.

And yes, usually cheating means starting over, sorry. You are probably just starting ketosis and it will knock you out of it. The couple times I've cheated I've felt very uncomfortable for several days. Is it worth it?

Do your best, I know you can do it!

Angela, you're great!! Thanks for the words of encouragement.
I will stay strong and committed! I'll post what I eat on my journal tomorrow. It's wonderful that we all have each other to keep us going and on track.
