Default Rise in blood sugar

I've been trying to find out what may be causing me to stall, weather it be aspartame, splenda etc...so I have been testing my blood sugar. I'm hypoglacemic, but since doing Adkins my blood sugar has been good (in the 90's) but I'm not sure how much of a spike would be considered bad after eating certain foods. Anyone got any advice on how to do this? Thanks in advance, Chuppet

I am hypoglycemic too, but I have no idea what "good" number are. Since starting Atkins, I have found that if I pay attention and listen to my body...I can tell if my blood sugar is right.

If after eating a specific food I get any of the following symptoms, I assume it caused my blood sugar to jump too high.

nausea
hunger 30 minutes after eating a regular meal (I call this pseudo-hunger)
cravings
excessive thirst
confusion, brain fog, nervousness, or difficulty making decisions
irritability
fatigue or malaise

How long has it been since you have lost a pound? I have gone 3 1/2 weeks and then then the Woosh Fairy visited me. And I jumped up and down a 4-pound range during that time. An official stall is either 4 or 6 weeks, I can't remember which.

Good Luck!!!

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that hunger after 30 minutes (vs. 1-3 hours after a meal) isn't hypoglycemia. It's good to know that someone else is similar to me and that maybe that info was wrong.
