Default Carbolite foods...Chocolate almond bar!! OMG!! This is so good it has GOT to be bad

Has anyone tried these? Manufactured for Carbolite Foods, Inc. Let me give you some of the numbers, and you tell me how bad it is for me:

Carbohydrate facts:
Total Carb 14g
Fiber 0.8g
Maltitol 13g
Net Effective Carbs 0.2g!!!

Does this mean it's ok to eat this? Like, as much as I want (ok, within reason)? OMG, it is sooooooooo good!!

Talking Yummy

Aren't they wonderful???????????? I can only eat 1/2 a bar tho, or else I spend the rest of the night in the bathroom! I have them for an occasional treat when I have to have chocolate! Another good thing is the Russell Stover sf candies, the chocolate is to die for But, again, the maltitol has an awful laxative effect for me~~~I guess I just can't learn???? There are many BAD treats out there so I guess it is worth it huh? Keep up the good work!

As already mentioned they can cause some gastric distress! Also while the packages are saying net effective carbs of .2 - the sugar alchols are still in a big debate as to your blood sugar levels and the cravings the sugar alchols cause.

To get an idea of what the debate is, check out the hidden carb inspector on the right under quick links. Also, feel free to do a search on SUGAR and ALCOHOLS on the forum.
