Default Where has he BEEN all this time?!

Okay, I've had a lot of success with losing weight. My DH would like to lose a few pounds (he doesn't have much to lose ) and eat healthy. Tonight he told me he's decided to "low carb, not NO carb like you" Apparently, he does not equate veggies with carbs. Obviously, he has not been paying attention!!!
Oh well, you gotta love 'em!

Talking I got one too...

It never fails what falls outta the mouth of a husband.
I was posting in my journal today and husband walked past asking what I was doing. I told him and he said, "what for? like to write down when you wanna eat bad and stuff?"

I just laughed him off, but I thought, man...he must really think I will be having a hard time or am right now. The one thing about this wol I found out on my last journey was that I didn't have to struggle after my induction. Thank God. I don't stare at someone eating a doughnut with a drooling mouth and wish I had it.
I know I'm a carb addict, but that's why atkins is my answer. Once its not in my system, I don't kill myself with cravings.

Sorry for the ramble lol

Wow I'm lucky here. DH really has educated himself on low carb. Okay I educated myself and talked about it non stop so he didn't have a choice He knows he'd be in trouble if he made a comment on that one.

heheh

When I told my husband over a year ago that I was going to go on Atkin's his comment was "you tried that before and it made you sick remember?". My comment back to him was, "I just started working 3rd shift, was sleep deprived and started this diet the last time. I don't think it was the diet. Either be supportive or keep yer mouth shut. I am going to lose this weight!"

Since then he has been the role model of supportive spouses. He even reminds me "hey that isn't allowed!" He is my watch dog on allowable foods. He is also very proud of how far I have come since then.

At least he's thinking about my WOE and weight loss. He's always asking, "Can you eat that? Is that okay? What about this?" On and on. I often email the Atkins newsletter to him, without comment. I get through better sometimes when I don't say much!

My fiancee is on Atkins with me...we decided to do it together. The thing is, he isn't much more educated than some who aren't on the diet. (He didn't read the book...depends on me to tell him everything he needs to know.) He's always asking me can I eat this, can I eat that. He'll call me at work to see if what he's planning to eat for lunch is OK! (It's kind of cute.)

The really galling thing is that he's lost more than I have.

Default BF support really helps

My boyfriend makes most of the meals. Since I started LCing he cleaned out the frige and went shopping. He threw eveything out of the frige because I was always lowfat before. He has read alot of the book, but has read all of the Atkins new cookbook. He does the same thing with, you can't have that. He started doing Atkins and didn't even tell me. So now we do it togeather. Now all we have to agree on is a wedding date. Haven't been able to tackle that one in a year. . I think it makes it alot easier, because he is really supportive.

Default Cook Book

The title of the book is "Dr. Atkins quick and easy New Diet Cookbook" I don't know if it is new or not I was going by the title. It says its companion to his other book I bought , the new diet revolution (DANDR). Is this the one you have?
