Default European measure Pls Help

Hi I downloaded a couple of recipes and they have what I think is a european measurement a cl - the only thing I can think of is that would be a centi-litre but how much is that does anyone know the ones in the recipe are

20cl and 75cl

If no one answers, I will just guess the proportions, it is for a soup and my leeks are steaming now

Thanks for that one KoKo. From the other side of the pond, I've often wondered just how much 'a cup' is!
