Default Trying again

Hi,

I am trying Atkins again after I fell off the wagon 6 moths ago. I now weigh 10lbs more than I did the first time I tried Atkins. I am at 277

Anyway, I had a couple question. I just started induction today and I am wondering if mayo is allowed and was there something with American cheese? What about salt and pepper?

I no longer have the book. Has anything changed for induction since then?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have the book around somewhere, (although I may have eaten it when I first fell off the wagon). Do you know about mayonaise, salt, pepper, and Amercian cheese? I am clear on all things except for those 3.

Thanks Again

I think those 3 are OK
If you buy the mayo, compare the different brands, some do have more carbs then others.

Good luck !

Yes, Yes and Yes.

Keep cheeses to 3-4oz per day
Some Mayo's have lots of sugar so read labels carefully

Thanks... I got sick of eating ground beef patties so I whipped up a large batch of tuna salad with just tomatoes, pickles, and onions.

Something I thought I'd share;

Before I went on Atkins the 1st time, I never had a big sugar tooth. Even the liquids I consumed were Cystal light iced tea, diet soda, and maybe the occasional Pepsi. During and afterAtkins I now found myslef craving sugary treats.

Did anybody else notice this?

Barnes and Noble just published a big hardcover book called "The Complete Dr Atkins", with DANDR, the cookbook, and the carb counter book, all in one. Pretty neat, for only $9.99.
