Question Glucose Tolerance Factor Test and LC

For all you experts ...

Many months ago I read here that before someone has a GTF test, they slowly 'carb-ed up' for a week beforehand. The thinking was that our bodies, accustomed to LC would show a tremendous spike as it dealt with the pure sugar. Without the carb-ing up, their numbers were sky high; when they prepared for the test, their numbers were normal.

I've tried to search the forum in every way, but I can't find the reference.

Please someone, help me out with this.

I am not the one but, I had this test done and I had to eat for three days not a week. Cookies, pies, cake, rice, corn etc and stop eating at 7 PM the day before the test. It was a four-hour glucose tolerance test.

I think this may be the link that you were looking for. Atkins recommended eating at least 150 grams of carb per day for at least 4 days prior to the test or the results may not be accurate.
