Sugar alcohols often have a laxative effect, can be accompanied by gas, bloating, diarrhea, cramping. Made worse by having more than one serving. Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol. Not all "plans" deduct sugar alcohols, as they CAN affect some people (in the blood sugar department). The laxative effect is much more common.
There's information and links under the TIPS item on the menu bar above about sweeteners and sugar alcohols. There's TONS of posts in here about sugar alcohols, hidden carbs, etc.
Enjoy your new learning curve.
