Default My new way of life...

Hi all! I'm new here and just wanted to say Hi! I've lost 11 pounds on Atkins and would LIKE to lose 10 more! I have a 18 month old daughter and want to be able to run around with her this summer in my bathing suit!

This is no longer a diet to me...but a permanante way of life! I love it!!! I've never felt better!

One question...What is YOUR FAVORITE sweet?

I used to have a BAAAAD sweet tooth! It's MUCH better...but am looking for ideas to kill that LITTLE sweet craving!

First welcome, and congrats on your loss so far. You're doing awesome. And your daughter's a CUTEY.

I can totally relate to wanting to get in shape to play with her. I have a 32 mth old and a 4 mth old. Both girls. And they were/are my motivation to LC and lose weight.

As for sweets. I'm not big on sweets anymore, so I don't have any lc suggestions, wish I did, but I know someone out there can help with this for sure. My only suggestion is to take L-glutamine. helped me ALOT. 500mg before breakfast, lunch and dinner. Definitely helps curb the sweet tooth.

Hi mom2girls! Thanks so much for the welcome! And thanks for looking at my lil girl! I am so upset! I tried to make my username "mommy2haylee" and I guess it was too long! So it just shortned it for me! Do you know how I can change it! I'd like to try "mom2haylee"! TIA for any help/advice!

Congrats to you on your loss as well! It's a great feeling isn't it?!? I just wish my goal was a size 4! LOL

I LOVE your goals foor June! I just might have to rip off your idea and start doing the same! And keep them where I will see them everyday!

What is the pill you recommened that I take? And what does it do? Look at me 20 ?'s!

I thought I'd respond to the sweet craving part of your question:
When I want something sweet I have:
-- an occasional SF jello (occasional because of the aspartame)
-- an oz. or two of heavy cream whipped with a packet of Splenda and a few drops of vanilla
-- mock danish (2 oz. cream cheese, softened, mixed with one egg, one packet of splenda and a drop of vanilla. microwave for 1 1/2 min. or so)
-- Italian soda: a glass of sparkling water over ice with a dollop of unwhipped heavy cream and SF flavored syrup (like DaVinci or Torani brand chocolate, toffee, vanilla, root beer, etc.) to taste.
-- a stick of extra sugar free gum (zero net carbs)
-- frozen blueberries (sometimes drizzled with the tiniest bit of heavy cream)
-- I have an ice shaver, so I freeze diet rite soda and make snow cones
