Default metal smell but no loss ?

I have had that typical metal smell in my breath and urine the last 3 days or so, but I'm not losing, I was down a 1/2 pound, then it came back, then I just have been hoovering anround the 152 mark the last 5 days or so.
Not complaining I do not get upset about not losing every week, was just curious if anyone had an explanation for this? I always figured, that aroma, was a sure tell way of knowing you were losing! LOL

Kathy

I don't have any explanation for you, but i get the same thing. The metalic taste - but no losing... frustrating sometimes, because it is the only way i can tell about the ketosis - i don't use the strips...

LOL, it better well be, as this morning I'm up 2 pounds, this is a first for me in all the 4 1/2 months doing this !

Oh well.............. although my work is very physical, with my schedule this past week or so I have'nt been able to get swimming, I think it might just be that. Will get a good walk in today, even though the weather is Crappy.

Default More water?

Hi...on this board I read that if you get that taste/smell you might need to drink more water. You might give this a try. How much water are you currently drinking? Dilute those ketones!

Default Hmmm

Sorry Kathy,

Could it be that Tom ? Just an idea !!! Have you been eating differently ? Are you still on induction ? So many Questions huh ? When I did the diet last year and moved to the next phase after induction ...I quit losing. I am staying on induction for as long as I can this time. You can safely stay on induction for at least 6 months I read if you have more than 30 lbs. to lose. Sorry about the 2 lbs. but it happens to the best of us sometimes. Keep us informed how its going?

We can do this together !!!

Default Oh !!!

Dear Kathy,

I just looked at your stats and noticed that you are near your goal....congrats !!! You know everyone says the last 10 lbs. are the hardest to get off....our bodies just wanna hang on to that fat.... ! That dont explain why you gained 2 but try not to worry they say our weight fluctuates and especially women I believe...all those damn hormones.

The closer I have gotten to goal weight the more my weight fluctuates up and down. Five days of no weight loss is totally normal I think. Sometimes I go two or three weeks before I see a difference in the scale.
