Just returned from my annual exam and have gotten samples for the new Ortho Evra patch. It works just like your regular BC pill except since it is a transdermal patch and goes directly into your system rather than having to be processed through other organs they use a much smaller estrogen dose (From 35 mcg down to 20 mcgs). My OB says that this may help regulate my cycle since starting this WOE I haven't gotten my period at the right time in at least 6 months...

I was always worried about my morning cocktail of flax seed oil, psyllium husks, multivitamin and additional supplements and allergy meds being stacked on top of my BC pill and this solves the issue!

Anyway - anyone looking for a new method might want to ask their docs... I'm sure it's not for everyone but it might be just the ticket for some of us! Oh - a lame disclaimer that I found slightly offensive is that it is not recommended for women over 198lbs... Guess the low dose might be too low...
