Default Hello there!

Well, I started Atkins on Monday and so far it has been pretty easy! As long as I keep plenty of approved foods around I'm certainly never hungry like I was with other diets! I am 30, 5'10", and 150 pounds. I am looking to lose 25 to 30 pounds and KEEP IT OFF! I'm glad I found this site where my questions can be answered and I can commune with other low carb dieters! I was so excited today when I went to lunch at Rubio's Baja Grill and ate their "lettuce tacos"!!!! I almost cried when I bit into one, it was SOOOO delicious! They give you a large portion of meat (chicken, beef, or pork), a good sized portion of grated cheese, a dollop of guacamole and several nice crisp lettuce leaves to wrap it all up in! They also have a nice fresh salsa bar to spice things up! I felt like I was cheating, but the entire meal was only 7 net carbs! Yahooooo!!! Anyway, thanks for being here and best of luck on your journey!

Sounds like you've started off right! In LA there must be lots of temptations--good thing you've found an l-c haven.
Best of luck.
