Thumbs up So, what does everyone do for Exercise?

Though I think Atkins and Low-carb is awesome, I know that in order to keep this weight off permanently I'll have to work out an hour a day. I know it helps with my moods, hunger pangs, and avoiding becomming too flabby as I lose weight. I found I really liked exercising, and though I'd like to lose weight faster and faster (haha), I know doing it slowly results in it staying off in the long-run.

I presently do 1/2 hour cardio, 1/2 hour circuit/weight training. I haven't braved any classes yet, still feel way too big and bulky and embarassed to go to any class.

But my goal once I lose about 50lbs is to do Yoga and TaeBo!

Since starting this woe I haven't exercised to due an injury, but as soon as I get the go ahead I plan on starting again. Before my injury I ran/walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes a day 5-6 days a week and did 45-60 minutes of weights, plus abs 3 times a week. I agree that you have to add exercise to keep the weight off. When I worked out daily and weighed what I weigh now I could easily wear a size 5 but without the working out at the same size I wear a 9 and can fit my big butt in a tight uncomfortable 7. I think your workout regimen is great and I can't wait to be right up there with you. Exercise curbed my appetite, helped me sleep better, gave me energy and put me in a good mood.

I do 45 min elliptical 5 days a week and for 2 of those days I will add an extra hour and a half of weight training. One day Upper Body One day lower body. About 45 minutes free weights and 45 minutes machines.

Also I do about 10-20 minutes of stretching at the end of my workouts and some days I might push it longer if I have the time/energy.

I also do ab work every day either at the gym or at home

I do weights, aerobics and yoga twice per week. Hike 3-4 hrs on Saturdays and if I'm feeling really energetic, I go for walks in my neighborhood 2-3 times a week. Hasn't helped to lose weight or body fast quicker, but I jiggle less.

This is my first week, day 2. It took me a year to motivate to begin so I just started hiking/walking and go about 1 - 1 1/2 hours. I have to admit it feels so great to get back into it again. I forgot how good it feels to work this body, not counting the peacefulness of the woods.

Treadmill for 2 miles at 9% incline at 30 mph - seven days a week. I love the treadmill - much easier to keep up the pace rather than walking outside.

Water aerobics 1 hr. on Monday, Weights & bike 1 hr. on Wed., Fri. and early Sun. am.

Can't wait until I have the endurance to do a boxing class. A substitue water aerobics teacher mentioned to me that I was POWERFUL in the water. That was probably the best compliment I could get, powerful.
