Default Sugar free Aspartame Free Jello

Where can I find a sugar-free gelatin that doesn't contain Aspartame. Jell-o Brand and most of the other store brands I have looked at all have Aspartame in them. I am trying to cut out the Aspartame, but I am in love with jello! I'm going to keep on eating what I have until I can find some with out the Aspartame, but I have no idea where to look for that kind. Any suggestions?

Hunt's Sugar-free Juicy Jells are sweetened with Splenda. They come in snack packs of 4. They are more expensive than buying SF Jello though.

Another brand is Jolly Rancher sugar-free, which are made with Splenda and Ace-K. I think they are 3 carbs a serving.

I have also made my own splenda jell-o.

2 packets Knox unflavored gelatin
1 packet of Kool-aid flavoring (no sugar or aspartame added, just flavor)
8-10 packets (16-20 teaspoons granulated) Splenda to taste
The water the recipe calls for (I think one cup hot water, one cup cold)

Follow the amounts listed on the box (there should be a basic gelatin recipe) and this makes splendid splenda jell-o. It may be a bit firm for some tastes. Try a little more water or taking it out of the fridge for ten or so minutes before eating so it can warm up and soften a bit.

Plus you can use a variety of flavors due to the amount of kool-aid flavors.

Thank you Angela for your recipe for splenda jello. I share Alli's frustration. I am not really interested in the ready-made jellos, I'd rather make my own.

Default Splenda

I really doubt that such a product presently exists. I am hoping that the Splenda people will start bidding against the makers of aspartame for the lucrative sweetener business. Then we will see more products sans aspartame.

Meanwhile, why don't you experiment with aspartame? Have the Jello and see how it affects you. I have found, through many years of use, that it does not affect me at, all that I can discern. I far exeed the Atkins recommendation for its use and I'm losing weight on the plan.

Good Luck

Default Thanks!

Thanks ya'll for the suggestions. I'm definitely gonna try that Splenda recipe, just cuz there are so many cool flavors of Kool-Aid!!!!! and it sounds pretty easy too. I probably will also just not worry too much about wether it has aspartame or not. So far I am losing weight, and I figure that Jell-O is a way way way better desert (aspartame free or not) than having cake or cookies after my meals. Thanks everyone, though, for the ideas!

So far the only Gelatins that are made with Splenda are Jolly Rancher Sugar Free Gel Snacks (this is what is posted on Splenda site that lists all the products made with Splenda.)

I agree hopefully they will start taking over some business soon. They are starting a heavy ad campaign around here at least.
