Default How Much is Enough

Can anyone provide me with some sort of guide line of how many carbs I should be eating a day. I used to have the Protien powe plan which I purchased several years ago. It sat around gather dust and when I finally decided to use it most of the parts seem to be missing.

If there is some sort of general guide line I would appreciate it.

Many Thanks

Happ new Years!

Atkins induction starts you at 20g for the first 2 weeks, and PP starts at 30g.

The Atkins website describes the plan quite thoroughly and I don't know about the PP site.

Hi there I am a week into the atkins program and on this program you go on induction for atleast 2 weeks in the beginning and carbohydrate intake is 20 carbs a day...when you go off induction you increase your carb intake by 5 carbs a week, you can stay on the induction part of the program for aslong as you wish. I hope this is somewhat helpful to you, good luck on your weightloss, Kim.

Hi Xpdite and welcome!

I think you'll find it a lot easier if you pick a specific plan, then get the book and read it. If you're unsure of which plan would work well for you and fit best with your lifestyle, you can check this link which compares all the major plans out there: http://www.lowcarb.ca/atkins-diet-a...lans/index.html
Cutting carbs is a great start, but having a specific plan to refer to as you go is one of the keys to success. Feel free to ask all the questions you like if you run into something you don't understand. Happy low carbing!
