Question Low Energy help

I have been on Atkins for a month now and really never felt the energy that some people talk about and now I am dragging alittle and want to make sure I am not doing something or need to be doing something I'm not. My eating is fine. I am not worried about that. I probably could stand to drink more water. I take the following supplements: Multi--vit, B12 supplement, Chromium,(sp?) Potassium, Calicum, D, and Magnesium.

I'm hoping it may be some supplement I can add but I don't know. If anyone has any ideas I could sure use some.

Thanks

Hi Cinammo!

I can't give you any supplement advice or such other than to say that I find spreading out the vitamins thru the day seems to keep my energy level consistent. Also, spreading my carbs thru the day helps, too. But, I wanted to try to give you some food for thought. A friend and I were just talking. She had asked me if I had more energy. I had to honestly reply, "No." But, I went on to explain. The only way I've ever kept going at my weight was to keep as active as I could. What has happened since lc'ing is that, in proportion to my weight loss, I have continually added new activity. Instead of waiting to get more energy and then finding a way to use it - I've kep myself busy and oh, so tired! This may not be your situation - but, could it be? I'm sleeping better than ever. And, during the day, I'm doing more than ever before. Maybe, you are doing the same?
Someone with more knowledge will probably come along and help out, soon. Take care of yourself!
Shari

Since taking CoQ10 my energy has gone way up, may want to check into that supplement.

Hi Cinammo,
I had problems at the beginning of Atkins because I wasn't eating enough calories. When I started up my FitDay log I discovered that the days I felt the crummiest were the ones that my calories were really low. The protein and ketosis kept me from feeling hungry and I just wasn't eating enough to keep going. So that's something to look at, if you have'nt already.
Hope this helps!
Signey
