apples
I have been adding apples to my diet as they are about the only fresh fruit that is in season at the moment and I can afford easily.
I have looked at GI tables, but find them confusing as they use phrases like Italian apples and such instead of red delicious, golden dilicious, granny smith, pink lady, and so on. Fitday only rates them on small, medium, and large basicaly treating all apples as the same.
I have been eating golden and red delicious as that is what my son has around. What would be the best choice GI though for apples as I know there is a huge difference in GI amounts between different kinds?
Are red and golden ok, or should I look more at the tart varieties such as granny smith?
