Default Eating out?

Hi there. I've been 'lurking' for quite a while and finally have a question which I can't find answered anywhere! I'm on Atkins, induction period, and I'd like to know what kind of ideas others have for eating out. For example, is there a chinese dish (obviously, NOT fried rice!) that would fit into the plan? I'm very pleased in general with the plan but would like to start eating lunch out once in a while (and have it NOT be a cheeseburger and salad)! Any help would be great. Thanks. Lori

Well, off the top of my head... egg drop soup.

Check out Atkins site:
atkinscenter.com/
There's a section somewhere on there that addresses differents styles of restaurants.

FYI ... chinese I like the egg foo young dishes without gravy or rice. They are kind of deep fried omelets w/ induction allowed veggies.

I use a little hot chili oil and soy sauce. Filling and full of protein. Good LC food.

Have a nice dinner out...

I just had chinese today.

This place offers a "pick your own ingredients" stir fry. I wanted them to sautee it in butter but he didn't speak english too well and didn't understand....so I used some stuff from their flavoring choices. I just went with the garlic sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil.....I chose beef, chicken & pork slices with mushrooms, cabbage, sprouts, broccoli, zucchini, bamboo shoots & celery. It was ok...the meat seemed a little dry but other than that, it was filling. Would have been better with butter!....next time I'll try to find an english speaker

Had egg drop soup, but didn't eat too much of it...afraid they used cornstarch in it. And a chicken leg with a regular dinner salad w/mushrooms and ranch dressing. Look for a stir fry option in the restaurants...gives you some choices! Good Luck KC
