How much fat?
All the time I hear people saying that Atkins is 70% fat, 25% prot and 5% carbs. But when I look at the menu suggestions, it occurs to me that the fat amount is not as large. Especially in Atkinks for LIfe, he seems to be very careful with fat.
I have tried to find the quoted numbers in any of his book (I have DANDR and Atkins for Life), but can't find any.
I feel a contradiction here: You shall eat fat to stimulate fat loss, but too much makes you stall or even gain. Atkins says in one part that for breakfast you may have (real) oat meal and cream, but the suggestion is nowhere in his menu plans.
I know the obvious answer is, that it's different for different people, but I am a bit puzzled and only want to hear some opinions.
Regards
