You may not be able to get it in Nova Scotia, but have you tried Hood's LC chocolate milk? It's not exactly high in fat but it is very good, and 2 net carbs per cup.

Oh my....

No, we don't get that here. I've never even heard of it. Hence the millionaire comment.

The states are so ahead of us. They even have low carb cookes! heh.

All the Canadian government wants to do is remove low carb products, not promote them.

Ah... don't mean to gloat but Hood's chocolate milk is like a milk shake. It's not high fat, only 2% but its so thick and creamy and chocolatie! I bet for a million dollars you could hire someone to smuggle you some.

I''ve been working on that, but my cows don't like chocolate and don't do well on a low carb diet so I'm stumped.

Good luck! You can get really excellent, high quality sugar free cocoa at Williams-Sonama stores, maybe other high-brow cooking stores where you live.

I just today found low carb milk for the first time here in Alberta--at Save On Foods. The brand is Dairyland, and it is 2% milk with 5 grams of carb/cup. Add some cocoa powder and Splenda and you're golden.

I spoke to the store manager and he said that it was the product most asked for by shoppers,so they started to carry it.

Ah, I'll have to look for that next time I go to Save On here, taming. Thanks for the tip!

I'm only 30 minutes from the border crossing so I go down and buy the stuff that I can't get here in Canada or I can get it here but it's mucho $$. I tried the Hood white milk awhile ago and it was good but the chocolate?!?!?!?! OMG..... It's great for when you're just heading to bed but feel kind of hungry but don't really want to eat anything - know that feeling? It's so thick it's not really like a drink

ColbyJax:

Try making a syrup of unsweetened cocoa (like Fry's baking cocoa), very hot water and Splenda (and some vanilla if you want) and then add that to your watered down heavy whipping cream. It really does work.... Or I like to add some butter to the chocolate mixture and use it on top of lc ice cream

Take care,

Nicole

Yes, January. The show is an hour long now too, not a half hour. Wednesday nights I believe.
