Default Tahini Sauce (Like Hummus)

I made this sauce which is great with lamb chops (hot) or thinned down as a salad dressing with cold lamb. If you have it thicker it's like hummus and can be used as a dip.

You need:

a couple of tbs of tahini
juice of half a lemon
tsp of ground cumin
clove of chopped garlic
water
salt/pepper
coriander (cilantro outside the UK!)

Put tahini in a bowl and whisk in lemon juice and enough water to give the consistency of cream.

Add salt, pepper, garlic, cumin and coriander (cilantro), stir and leave in fridge for an hour to let flavours develop.

If you need it thinner add more liquid. If you need it thicker add more tahini.

This is a really addictive sauce and I use it as a salad dressing regularly

I think you should watch with the tahini - it could stall you if you're on atkins. It has 2.5 net grams of carb per Tbsp. A couple of spoons could really up your carb count for the day.

Just a thought - I don't know what plan you're on
