Unhappy Fell off the wagon once- NEVER again.

Hey all, I just started with this whole forum thing today. I started Atkins last year about this time, after my freshman year of college (where I gained 10 lbs.) My mom and I started doing it last summer, and the results were AMAZING. I could lose weight so easily, at a rate which is probably incomprehensible to some readers, so I won't elaborate... but. By the time I'd lost 15 lbs, I started cheating... I figured I could go on the diet when I wanted to lose a little weight, and eat like a pig when I felt like it. WRONG. I can't express to you how much of a LIFE Style this must be, and not to treat it like a fad diet. After binge eating/eating no carbs/and on and on for a year... I have not only shot my metabolism to HELL... but I've put on all the weight I lost in the beginning, and I'm finding it nearly impossible to lose it again. Please don't do to yourself what I've done. It's not worth it. That one BITE of cake will turn into one PIECE of cake, which will inevitably turn into "Oh, I'll just have some dessert every night." So now that I'm home for time summer (and with my mother who's been on Atkins for a year and looking amazing...) I'm giving it a second shot, with intentions to honor myself this time. Anyhow had an similar experience? I'd like to hear.

Welcome Miss Model.
If I may - at 5'5" you may find that 120 # is your ideal weight. If you are where your body needs to be, weight loss may not happen as you want it to. Of course, low carbing offers many more benefits so I hope you will contine this way of eating.
