Default introducing self

Hi--i am from Ottawa,Ontario Canada
I am following to Carbohydrate Addicts program along with my husband.
This is the first time we have tried it and are hoping we will be able to successful with weight maintenence. We are usually able to loose weight without toomuch difficulty but keeping it off has been and continues to be the problem.
We both need to loose about 40 lbs to be at a reasonble goal weight. We are both in our late 50's.
We have gained and lost this same 40lbs + since our thirties with all the usual diet plans.
We both love our carbohydrates and are not able to restrict them on an ongoing basis . We are hoping this will be successful for us as it allows us to enjoy carbohydrates in moderation once a day.
I have been on the plan for 2 weeks and have lost 10 lbs. My husband is just starting his second week and has lost only 2 lbs. He is somewhat discouraged as usually he will loose about 5 lbs his first week.
I am happy to have found this web site and so far have found it interesting and informative.
Thanks for sharing. Carol and Bob

Hi there and welcome! Congratulations on your success so far. We all lose at different rates so tell your hubby to hang in there. I hope you have found the WOL (way of life) that works for you. You will get lots of support here and answers to most questions that may arise. Continued success to both of you!

HI Optimized, Congrats on chosing this Wol and I think it will be so much easier that your husband will be doing it with you. It makes it so much easier than making two different meals at meal time too. I got BF to do this plan with me and found he lost at a slower rate, but I found him cheating at work so anywho, I hope everyone can be of help to you and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask. Good luck on your new WOL!

Hey Optimize, I find when I use Atkins products I always stall, it maybe a YMMV (your mileage may very) type thing like soda. You can try it and wait it out to see what happens or not. I know people who eat atkins stuff everyday, some can't, sorry thats the best I can do!
